Will Grizzly rims fit on a 450 Kodiak??
#3
All 12" Yamha rims will bolt on to every utility (4 x 110 pattern) and most Honda 12" rims will too. The only problem you might run into is the older 600 Grizzlys had a different offset on the back rims, just make sure they look the same as your stock ones. Other than that, it should be no problem.

OK now that I know they will/should fit are the grizzly rims better then the stock 450 kodiak rims?? I know they are aluminum but are they really that much better then the stockers?
Before I buy them I would like to know a couple advantages and disadvantages of putting stock grizzly rims on a kodiak.
I know after market rims are they way to go but that might be a future mod.

Aluminum is way lighter, you will notice a better ride and handling, less unsprung weight on the axles means the shocks control better, and it takes less power to turn the wheels. I'm not saying you will notice a huge power difference, but you will lighten up the drivetrain by quite a bit. hold a steel rim, then an aluminum one, you will be amazed at the weight difference.

Not sure what tires all stick on them, they have the stcok ones on them now but I'm sure I'll stick something else on them, maybe blackwater XT's or holeshots, just kidding.

02/03 grizzly rims are all the same front and back. the offset on the kodiak rims is different from front to back. the 02/03 grizzly rims are the same as the kodiak front rims only.
