How well do pasltic welds hold up ? I know it depends on location I think but in the worst pace for one is it as good as new or will it always be a weak spot ?

In most cases depending on the plastic, if you use a plastic welder the weld will be the stongest point of the plastic, if done correctly.I took plastics and welding training so I know a little about this subject.
