Default Economical aftermarket headlights

I'm looking for a set of aftermarket headlights for my quad that won't break the bank. I don't need the latest and greatest model but something that is functional and that hopefully puts out more light than stock headlights. I would like to be able to mount them to my Ox-Lite deluxe winch mount so they can't be too bulky. Of course I want clear beams, not amber and prefer all-metal housings if possible. I'd like to keep the cost under $30 as well. Any suggestions?

I put a set of rally brand lights on my quad. They are 2" round about 2 1/2" deep. They use projector bulbs. They came with 40 watt spot bulbs but I changed them to 60 watt floods. I can see in the dark now!! $27 at wally world.

I ran across this one last night and it's available at AutoZone for $20. I have yet to find a better deal so far. What do you think?

I like them. The only warning I would give you is if it has a special bulb in it sometimes in later years (or months) you are unable to get the replacement bulb. I had a set of off the wall lights and needed to replace the bulb, after looking for a wile I found one but it cost more than a new set of lights!! The ones I am running now I can go to an office supply store and get replacements. Just FYI.

These use standard H3 halogen bulbs. I went ahead and picked up a set so we'll see how they work out.

Stupid question...

What do you hook the aftermarket lights in to? Just splice them in to your existing light circuit? I just bought a new Brute Force 750 four days ago, so I'm curious as to what you hook your accessories up to.

i got a set a few years back at wal-mart they were small about 2" dia with blue lense but the output was bright white light i'm not sure if the are 35 or 55w. I ran them on the front with the wires going to the battery and a swithc on the bars. I have since removed them and located them on the rear now they come on when the bike is shifted into reverse using the reverse wires that were there from the factory. I bolted them to the rear storage box.
I then bought a set of 55w driving lights (4"or 5" dia)from princessauto they have a yellowish output but it is wide and far they worked great I used the same wire/switch i had installed for the small wal-mart lights. I mounted them on an aluminum plate/bar that bolted to the rack with U-bolts I also had a plugin connection so I could take them off and on easily.

here is a pic of the ""big" lights http://www.flickr.com/photos/s...et-72157601130152028/
