Does anyone know if and what type of atv's the military uses???

Yes they do use Polaris.

 

Is there any place I would be able to go and reserch these militery Atv's???

I have seen some Hondas (Foreman 450's I think) and Polaris (model???), in videos from Afganistan. But, I have not seen any detailed articles on the subject.

Oh, and all those Hondas are made here in the US!!

 

I saw a report on fox news awhile back that showed the army rangers in Afganistan on polaris sportsmans they were desert camo.But it didnt show them up close so I couldnt see what size they were.

There is an article in the July 2003 issue of ATV Magazine that is called ATV's in the service. It says that right now Polaris is the only ATV manufacturer curently building units for the military. It says that they use a modified sportman 700 called a Sportsman MV. It comes with a tank map bag, fender bags, gun mount and metal trunk that fits 6 standard NATO gas cans. The MV also has 5,000 pound-rated straps for overhead slings used in air lifting.

 

Doesn't Yamaha make those dune buggy looking rides for the military?
