It also beat the hell out of the rancher in dirtwhells. it also won atv of the year in two mags. against the rancher they said the contest was over before it began the rancher was no comp. also in dirtwhells against the others in the 400cc it whipped the crap out of them all except the one on with a locker diff., but won all other categorys hands down. motor suspension power drag race and close second to rock climing to the locker. have any of you seen the outlander in person to see the brakes and new frame. it is built so much better than the other crap there is no contest. I test rode a bunch of ATV's last week and again last night (with my wife this time). She ended up buying a 2004 400 Kodiak... She said she liked how easy it felt to steer, and the smooth power, comfort on bumps..etc. I bought a 2004 P700 for myself! It doesn't matter how large a company is. If a "division" is not profitable it is usually closed or sold off. If the ATV sector of Honda consistently lost money there would be no more Honda ATV's regardless of how big Honda is. Whats the deal with John Deere?

The Chevrolet Avalanche might be the best truck out there, but I would never buy one of those either because they are SOO BUTT UGLY, like the Outlander.

 

Bombardier rec. division (ATV,Ski-doo, Sea-doo,Johnson- Evinrude, Rotax) is the most profitable, their aerospace division like all aerospace companies in the last few years were losing money (mostly do to 911). The company is strong and will continue to grow, they are the largest boat, snowmobile, cart, and railcar manufacturer in the world. John Deere would not have atv,s made for them if they were going under, plus they have won more ATV of the year awards overall than any manufacture in the short time that they have been in the ATV business.

If you can't beat them just say they are ugly. Intelligent answer.

Never said they were going under or not making money. Also never said they were not a good ATV and never said they were a bad ATV either. ATV of the year award doesn’t make it the best; it’s just another opinion. Most intelligent people would have understood that.

I still wouldn't buy an ATV that ugly.
