Bill, I don't get to Happy Camp very often, but I do go down river all the time. It's great down there. I have never personally done any mining on the river, but I have some friends who have claims around here, and the actually make a living strictly from gold mining the different rivers and creeks around here, including the Klamath. Anyway, there are some great riding spots here near the lake the we can check out. We can actually ride almost all the way to Klamath Falls, OR on dirt logging roads and trails. It's pretty bad-***. Anyway, talk to you soon.

Tellico;
No I don't travel to much, Maine and new Brunswick, but there must be someplace around you that has them, up here there at every fair.
You should try it, the grizz does good.
Bill, I have heard of some Sp500 down state, that are just unstoppable, just haven't seen any.
I say again, there isn't any brand that can't be made to pull good,

Ok time out, I have read this thread from top to bottom and I'm dying over here. The Polaris is simply the the worlds best riding 4x4. Powerful, strong, smooth. It hit the off road market back in 1994 and changed the ATV world forever. You guys with Kaw's and Grizzley's should thank Polaris for what thay have done to the industrie. Polaris is still ahead of all others in technolagy by about 5 years at least. Most others just copy Polaris. Ya so the Sportsman is a heavy machine. Have you ever plowed through 4-5 foot solid snow drifts? I think you want a little weight behind you. Weight is not always a bad thing. A 3/4 ton chevy will out plow a Toyota Tacoma wont it? A Mack dump truck is better than a ford dump isn't it? You see were I'm going with this don't you? The auto transmition with its ease of use for plowing is awsome. You can pull more than any other quad out there with a sportsman 700 at 1500 pounds. The four wheel drive shift on the fly feature. The Independent rear suspension goes over any thing and are not as tippy as streight axles. The Kaw you have to hold a leaver to keep all the wheels locked in 4 wheel drive? what kind of crap is that? What is the ground clearance of a p700 I think its like 7.4 inch verses 11.25 for the sp 700. Lets talk tires, the tires are crap on a kaw 700 everyone knows that, so buy a new machine and have to put mud tires on it? makes sence to me. Listen buy what you want its you're money but make you're decsion on the facts not some punk kid that thinks ligher and faster is better. Just compare the facts it isn't rocket science. And hay , diffrent strokes for diffrent folks it doesn't matter to me what you buy as long as you are happy with it. But don't go putting down my Sportsman 700 cause you will have a battle on you're hands.
