LOL! Dude, you haven't seen my SCrew. I'm including many extras in my coverage for sure but no, the dealer did not see me coming as the transaction was done through Ford Motor Company World Headquarters in Toledo, OH....@ 5% below factory invoice plus all the rebates! Not a whole lot of people getting them that cheap. It pays to know the right people in the right places!

Still, how did you pay that much for a F150 Supercrew? The reason is mine is LOADED, EVERY option and it didn't even come close to that much! Mine is a XLT FX4 with all the Lariat features. I special ordered this truck from the factory and again it has every option even the moon roof and power sliding rear window. It was stickered less than $45,000 but I got it @ factory invoice around $31,000. Truck prices must be crazy in California if your truck was $45k!!!!

ProEMTPFF,
I really got you wondering about my SCrew don't I? Like I said, I'm factoring extras, some factory and many not, in the value of my rig. By no means did I write a check to Ford for 45K! Mine is a late '03 (the last of the GOOD body style) so I'm confident there was at least a small price increase there compared to your '02 but again that may be negligible. I have the stuff you have as well with perhaps a few more bells or whistles...top CD system, DVD in the headrests, etc. My truck stickered at about 40K with the all factory extras but I did quite a bit beyond that in additions, i.e., front and rear Warn Winch package, bigger BFG's all the away around, custom SnugTop shell and interior lining, Gibson stainless steel exhaust system, Rancho 9000 adjustable shock system....probably a few things more that I'm forgetting.....and yes, don't forget the special California "Bend Over, Here It Comes Again" (BOHICA) factor!

As for the insurance, I'm on the horn with a few new companies today. Gonna see about making some changes on the trucks AND the ATV to see where that gets me.

As Dangerous said, insurance depends on a variety of factors. I live in Jackson, MS, where crime is rampant. I bought full coverage for my Prairie from ATV-Line for 338/yr with a 500 deductible. My buddy lives 15 miles from here and insured his Prarie through ATV-Line for 175/yr. Go figure.

Ahhhh....come on guys! I was still trying to get over it and here you go bringing up all that bad Juju again! I never could get anywhere for less than about $500/year and this was with worthless coverage....just comprehensive and that was it! I'll be going without.
