Ok I've got another question looking at winches now found a waren 2500 for $279.00 sounds like a good price then i saw a shootout and the ramsey seems like a better winch but much more $$ also do you have to buy a mounting kit seperate? I want to mount it in the grille it looks like it has mounting holes in it. Do you have to buy a mounting plate seperate? All the plates i"ve seen are just a flat plate with holes in it. I could make a plate on a drill press if that is what it is. Pluss I haven't seen one for a Kodiak 04". Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help.

Senater, nope dont have them, I learned how to ride my quad and did not feel any handle quirks or unstability problems either. Like I said before, when you learn how to your bike handles you will not need the spacers. I see you own them and are happy so have fun with them. Let us know if you should or should not have any problems with excessive bearing wear or seal failures, I know you say you have not had any problems with them so far. How many miles have you put on them since installing. I got 8 years out of the front bearings on my King Quad running Bear Claw in stock diameteer and that is about normal for bearings. But that was a King Quad and not a Kodiak so everyone wears differenlty. Oh, I like the blender idea, I like daiquires or pina coladas myself. Seriously Senater, let me know on the realibity issue down the road, maybe the stuff the dealer says is B.S. afterall you would think they would want you to put them on if they due cause problems, more money for them on repair jobs. AlaskaBoy.

The cheapest i found the waren 2500 was at www.mps-shop.com on sale for $279.99 plus $20 s&h seem a pretty fair price but they don't have a mounting plate for a kodiak after 2002 I'm not sure if it is the same i'll have to check that out. Somebody must have a plate for a new one buy now mabey i'll check the local dealer tomorrow and see if they will match the price. Hell its only money right. HaHa....
