That dosen't surprise me much. AC has never been known for having the fastests quad, but they ARE workhorses!

My buddy rides a AC 400, and he climbs over rocks that I usually just go around. They are a solid, well built quad.

BrianT,
Thank you for confirming my statements about the troubled Kawasaki tranny/clutch set up.

I would get the cat. My main gripe about my brothers 02 grizz is that the frame is light duty, the front bumper material is about 2x a pop can, and it over heats, but that 's not a problem on the new ones. I like the twin better, but the grizz is an awsome engine also. I would agree that the kawi trans is not the best though, and it's engine braking is not as good, and yes you might have to shim the belt right away.

Your welcome, but I think you mean for disproving your statements.

fidge1, tell him that is the break lever he was pulling, and the gas is on the right hand side.

Read the Arctic Cat forums. It seems they have a lot of problems with belt and limp home mode. With a Grizzly you just get on it and ride it. I have nothing against AC, I own 2 of the 300's. I don't think I would like the problems with the belt on the 650
