Looking for some help. Got my eye on a stock new 04 vinson auto 4x4 LE. Got quoted 6250 + 250 for warn 2.5 winch financed w/o tax (farm use). Is this a decent price? What is the retail on the LE vs the regular vinson autos? Can I put the winch on and a new front bumper later, or should it all be done at the same time? I ask because I wanted to order one from someone other than my dealer. I was also wondering about belts. I have always owned honda utility machines with ESP or simple manual shift auto clutch utilites. How often to you need to check the belt for wear, adjust it, and replace it? How hard is it to do these things? Thanks for the help.

The belts on all the autos are really good now no need to do anything to them. I have never had any problems with my belt drive on my kodiak. Im not sure about the vinson but no belt driven quad should now calls for belt repalcement or work.

maddog-sounds like a good deal. I was quoted an le for 6784.68 out the door. That included all the california bs. I opted for the 5-speed,which I rode for the fist time today-I love it! I will be adding an aftermarket bumper/brushgaurd. I like the warn, but I haven't found one for the vinson. Any one else know of any others, please post. (I don't like the factory add on bumper.) I also bought a warn 3.0 winch on e-bay for 330.00. The mounting plate was 29.00 I think Shipping for both was 30 or 35.I will be instaling it when it gets here on monday.

That seems like a very good price. I think the MSRP is like $6500 or $6900. I have ridden with a guy who has a vinson with a lift and mudlite tires and it did great. We were riding some river bottom muck and it seem to have all the power he needed. Good luck.

I purchased the 500 LE last month for $6,300 out the door NO WINCH

The warn bumper ( very cool) can be added later no problem... see at www.warn.com

Looks good and functions nicely as it protects the plastic front end

Yes, you can install the winch and then add the bumper later, I just put all that on my new Vinson.

I got my 03 Vinson here in NY at Troy City Garage recently. They had the 04 Vinson Camo AT for $5899. Plus about $200 for frieght and what not you could get it for about $6100 out the door. If you are from out of state then no Sales Tax. I got my 03 AT for $5600 out the door. Didnt see the reason in getting the new 04 with camo for $500 more or even the Base 04 AT for only $400 more when the only difference is the Digital Fuel gauge. Right now they got the 04 AT for $5799 base plus about $200 freight, so out the door $6000. Pretty good i think.
