Default Biggest quad

Hi Im gonna be buying my first quad and I need to know the biggest quad i can fit in the bed of my pick up. I have a full size 1500 gmc sierra extended cab with a SHORT box. Im hoping i can fit at least a 500 because i dont want to buy anything smaller and i dont want to tow a trailer cause i gotta boat to drag around most of the time. I know it depends what make it is ..im leaning towards a 04 rincon 650 if it fits any help will be appreciated.

With the tailgate down just about any of the big bore utilities in the back of your bed.

You can't hardly leave your tailgate down and pull a boat. I can put my Arctic Cat 300s in the back of my ford shortbed, but not my grizzly.

I can work around the boat problem...its only a 14 footer, my main concern is finding the biggest quad I can get that will fit in the back of my shortbed with the tail gate down..if anyone has a big bore utility that uses a similar set up your information will be greatly appeciated

With the gate down, any of them will fit.

The length of the stort bed is probably not as big a concern as the width of the bed and the liner around the wheel wells.. I am willing to ditch the liner to accommodate the width of a big bike and its wide tires.. i woundnt want to buy a big bike and have to use smaller tires just to fit in truck....also i heard that a back rack is also needed to keep the bike from breaking the back window. my truck has a full window across the back not a slider, and i already know how expensive that window is!

Width won't be an issue either. I run offset rims with outlaws on my Praire and have no problems width wise. I do run with the tailgate down as I do not want my back window smashed out. Unless you go extremely wide with tires and rims you will have no problem width wise on any quad.
