IOWA is dead on, I don't own a efi machine but I thought they were going to put on tp, map and maf sensors on the polaris machines. If thats the case there is no worry on the mod.

I have done a bit of reading up on the efi system on the polaris efi system, the way the polaris system is set up is that it automatically adjusts for temp and altitude changes for the STOCK motor. When u do mods to the motor like adding a pipe or high flow air filter u need to allow more air/fuel to enter the motor for it to perform properly(not burn down) therefore u need to have the dealer change the fuel injection maps in the efi computer, this can be done at the dealer with the pc he has for diagnosing/adjusting the efi.

The bonus with the efi system that polaris has is that the dealer can plug into it with a lap top and run a complete diagnostic check also the program has a complete replica of the wireing system incorporated to allow the dealer to click on a wire on the harness and find out what it does/ where it goes.

PS check out this link, personally I think the polaris efi system is the best in the buisness so far.700efi
