i dont think so becasue the kodiak could be the 450 with the low range
and even if it dosent have the low range its an automatic so it will always be in the right gear

but then agian anything is possible

snow, the bear is great in the snow unless it bottoms out. when you hit the frame you're pretty much stuck, as for pulling a kodiak backwards it should, i have pulled trees in 2nd gear, the only prob you could have it wheelspin, i could pull a truck if the wheels didnt spin (j/k about the truck)

The BB is a great machine for anything that you want to do (except a speed run). The more I drive mine the more I like it.

I clocked my buddy's 89 BB for him once .. he's handy on 300, and his son who was on with him was probably around 75 at the time, plus the rack box and windsheild and stuff like that .. ... anyway .. he topped out around 63km/h (40mph) but he was afraid to push any further .. might blow it up .. this thing has a million miles on it and it still starts easily even on the coldest of days. It's in pretty cherry condition too .. he takes really good care of it, and consequently it takes care of him. I'd estimate an ultimate top speed on a big bear with a light rider to probably be somewhere between 45 and 50mph (downhill wind at your back .. blah blah) but it would be ready to chuck it at that point .. Thats kinda funny, I have got my Rappy for sale in my store right now so i can buy one of my parents Big Bears. I have been riding it and i like it. Its great in the woods and the mud but it you are looking for speed then its not the right choice.
