Default valves out of tollerance

What happens when your valves are out of tolerance. My Griz seems to be losing power and the only thing I can think of is the vavles need to be adjusted. I have about 700 miles on it and still have not had them checked (bashing can begin here). It's not sputtering or backfiring but there is a definate loss of power.

You will loose power, exactly like you said. Usually the engine will cut up on the top. I would do a compression check and see what you get, and then check the valves. If you have to adjust them, do it and then do the compression check again.
