Default Need some help!

I will be getting a new ATV in a couple months for hunting and trail riding. However, I need some help! Who makes the best quality large utility ATV. I have been tossing around the Polaris 05' 800EFI, 700EFI, 05' Yamaha Grizzley, 05' Kawasaki Brute 750, Prarie 700. Out of this batch which one would be the best all around ATV. One last thing if you know of any places that sell these ATVs at a reasonable price here in MO let me know. THANKS!

I live in the O'Fallon area but will buy anywhere in MO to get the best price! Well I have narrowed it down since yesterday! Its between the 05' Grizzley 660, Kawasaki Brute Force 750, Prarie 700, or the Polaris 700EFI. Right now I seem to be leaning towards the Polaris. Just out of curiosity which one of these utilities are the quickest? How is the Polaris quality compared to the Japanese utilities?

I don't care for Bob Schultz at all, Chesterfiels valley power sports off of 40 is pretty good, IF you are buying something they will kiss your bottom. Say "I'm just looking" and you will never see another sales person ! My boss bought his quad from a place in Alton and he said there were pretty good. I can ask him the name if you are interested.

I haven't heard too much on the speed of any of these quads, I'm not too big on the Polaris sport quads but there UTs are great work horses from what I've heard. maybe pop in to the Polaris forum. I pretty sure one guy in there has the new 800.

You are the only other person I've seen from O'fallon on here.

It's a small world for sure! I found a good price on the Grizzly at Pro Cycle in Springfield, MO for $6500. I originally was going to get a Grizzly but decided to see what the other guys had to offer. As for Bob Schultz's, I dont care for them much at all. The salesman (clerk) was a real tard. I wouldnt buy anything from them if I had to pay MSRP and they had the best price in town.

As far as acceleration goes, (not that utilities are made for drag racing anyway) The order would most likely be BF750, P700, SP700 EFI, then the Grizz. You have a few other things to consider as well. Ride quality. The P700 is a SRA (solid rear axel) while the other 3 are IRS (independent rear suspension). The IRS machines offer advantages over the SRA. For one thing, then have LOTS more ground clearence which allow them to rock crawl better, traverse deep ruts better, go mudding a lot better, and allow them to go over objects like logs a lot better. Not to mention, the IRS is a LOT more comfortable ride than SRA. The SRA does however provide a more "sporty" feel and "feels" more planted at higher speeds. All 4 machines have plenty of power for whatever you need and can get the job done. All 4 also have lockers in the front, however, the Polaris is the only one that does not require you to push a button or pull a lever to lock the front diff. It automaticlly does it for you. As far as quality goes, they are all on par with eachother these days. Each brand has their lemons and problems, but it is hard to rank one brand as more quality than another these days. One thing you may want to consider though, is how much you would like the EFI over carbed? The EFI produced better throttle response, better gas mileage, easier cold starts, no change in jetting for altitude, and so on. The EFI on the Polaris has proved to be pretty reliable as it was developed by Bosch (the same company that makes the EFI for Cadallac)

my list keeps getting smaller everyday. I am a fan of the IRS so this means the Prarie 700 is out and I already eliminated the Polaris 800EFI. So now I am down to the BF750, Polaris 700EFI, and the Grizzly 660. Any pros or cons on any of these? Any help would be great!

dont buy the grizz. I have hear too many bad things baout them. I would only buy the polaris 750 if they changed the crank from the previous years (Bad Cranks). As far as prices go they say that procycle out of springfield is the best.
