Default Which would you choose?

I am frustrated on which one to choose! If the ATV was the same price, which one would you choose the 05' Honda Rincon 660 or the 05' Kawasaki Brute Force 750? I can get either one for the same price so any help would be great! I will be using it for hunting, logging roads riding and woods riding. HELP!!!

Go with the Honda. Based on my own experience, parts are cheaper and they're more reliable. I know everyone has a different story but that's my own opinion. Also. don't the engine size throw you off. My '88 Honda Foreman 350 can can hang with my buddy's '03 Rubicon and has pulled him and another friend's Polaris out of some hairy situations more than once. Luckily I haven't been on the receiving end of that rope. It all depends on which type of terrain you ride in the most. I've seen some bikes perform better than others in different environments. Good luck!

Kawi is better in the tough stuff because of a lower low range which rincon doesn't have and the diffi lock. I think you should also consider the sevice too, if it's the same dealer then it wouldn't matter. From what I can tell the rubi and rincon can not be compared and people do get them mixed up. The rubicon is better in my point of view in the rough stuff compared to the rincon. I think the KF will need serious conceration... I still have a month to decide because they are not out yet here. If the BF is as much better than the P700 then it must be a very nice machine because my 700 is very nice.

If all you ever will want and need is a cushy trail ride, get the honda. Its a cadillac.

That said, its seriously underpowered and much too oriented towards cruising for the majority of the atv crowd. The BF has more power, better suspension, an excellent record of reliability for its powerplant, and is cheaper to fix for the most part if something does go wrong. Honda also insists on using drum brakes on its utility atvs. These are old and out of date. They can and will fail on you. I have owned many honda utes and the same thing always happens. Introduce a little water, mud, or ice into the mix and your brakes need to be torn apart and cleaned out or fixed.

BF in a heartbeat.

I used to own a Honda and was going to buy one before I found Arctic Cat. I would get the BF if I had to choose between these two. My father in law has a brand new Rincon. Underpowered is right, my stock 500 has more power and quicker acceleration. The shocks are also very soft and are not adjustable. Like Maddog56 said if you want an atv just for cruisin the Rincon would be your choice, but if you are looking for something to thrash around with once in awhile I would go for the BF. I think both machines are pretty reliable but the BF will have way more power and probably better suspension as far as trails would go. I think the Rincon might be a tad soft. Hope this helps.

Wow, that's an easy answer. As long as you can handle the power of the BF, it's definitely the choice. I have always liked Honda but in recent years they have dissappointed me. They are the most reliable atv's on the market, but the features department is where they are lacking. The Rincon would be an awesome machine if it only had 2 things, the Hondamatic transmission and a front diff lock. Honda seems stubborn about their weight thing not wanting the machine to be over 600lbs. They need to get over it and build a really sweet atv. I wouldn't want a 3 speed tranny like the rincon has on any atv. The new BF seems like an awesome machine, maybe even too powerful (if that's possible).

I say if you want an atv for slower riding cruising over easy terrain speeds, then maybe MAYBE go with the rincon, but if you want an atv for some hard core riding, the BF is the way to go!

Honda's...Cushy rides?? I definitely can't agree with that about my bike. Good 'ol '88 Foreman! Between the solid axles and the front and rear swingarm suspension...my arms are killing me after a full days worth of riding. I do admitthat my buddy's Rubicon is somewhat of a limo on the trail. If I had to buy a new bike now it would probably be a Foreman S seeing that they no longer make the regular Foreman. I'm old school.......I still like to manually shift gears...not a big fan of the automatic stuff.

The foreman and rubicon are basically pure work machines. They do not have good suspensions for anything other than towing and hauling. If you want a workhorse and a manual then you are looking in the right place with the foreman. The rubicon and rancher at use a similar hondamatic trans. The rincon uses a 3 speed auto with esp and a torque converter. I wasnt much of a belt man myself, in fact I hated them. I swore I'd never own a quad that used a rubberband for the transmission. But after a few months with my 04 Prairie 700 I am officially converted. Its a great setup and very convenient. Not to mention that belts easily last the 2000 miles specified by the manufacturers and sometimes almost twice that time.

If you are stuck on a manual a vinson 500, arctic cat 500, and the foreman 450S are going to be your best bets. To my knowledge, thats as big as they get with a manual. Dont know about the new H1 Arctic Cat 650 though, its not really out yet and I havent looked into it to see if its manual or auto.

Neither! Wait for the KQ. It will be just as good if not better and it is much cheaper. I'm waiting for a King Quad.
