It depends on where I am riding as to whether? or not I will go around them. Our usual riding spot requires that you go around them if you want to keep your fourwheeler. Even our ways around the holes are a muddy mess now because everyone has been over them so many times

 

You don't have to get dirty to ride.....I like to go fast instead of get dirty.......All depends on your riding style, which generally depends on what type of quad you are riding.......

 

i can understand a sport bike going around a mud puddle.a friend of mine from work has a foreman 450 4x4.he had it for three years now never seen mud.its scratch free too.his bike looks showroom condition.he is from the city so i dont think he understands what these atvs can do.when he saw my quad for the first time.he could not believe how dirty and scratched up it was.i bust on him all the time about it.i told him he should get a harley or something.he thinks i abuse my quad because i ride in mud and rocky terrain[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I think I have passed the blast through the puddle phase, now I like to try and stay clean for the most part. I like playing with the winch though, so a lot of times I will ease into a big hole and try to get through it without getting too muddy. When I can't go any farther I'll winch myself through. Not that I'm afraid to get muddy, I just prefer not to. One day you'll be the same way.

 

If that is what you like...go for it. You just have a lot more maintenance on your ride. We don't go looking for mud but we go through it if need be. I know it takes us a full day to clean our quads up after a good ride - they get hit, but when we're done cleaning, they could go back on the showroom floor. You can always keep a check on how all your parts are if you clean them up good after playing. We have over $15,000. invested in these toys...you can bet we take care of them! (Mrs. Q)

 

I don't have racecut fenders, but I do have big tires with the stock fenders. Boy do they fling mud everywhere. Then again I am the one with the tire tracks through the deep part AKA the fun part.

How do you clean all that mud off your quads? I tried using a pressure washer, but it took off some of the decals and tore others. One of the trail stickers wound up in shreds laying around my driveway. Yet just a straight hose doesn't work very well. My pressure washer is a Sears 5.5 hp 2,100 psi. Unfortunately, there's no way to turn it down...that I've found anywhay.

 

SIMPLE GREEN!!! Nuff said. This stuff is AWSOME!! Just spray it and rinse it off.
