Default lost some low end?

I have a 99 Big Bear 350. I installed a DJ performane kit and a K&N filter. I had a bunch of trouble at first as it would barley run with the needle c-clip installed where DJ suggested for my elevation. I moved the clip up a notch and it runs great. I seem to have gained alot of mid to high end. Yesterday I was on a trail in the back of my land, and got sideways on a steep down grade. I didn't have the power to back out of it. Full throttle, no move. I know I've been in similar situation before, and had no problem, also seems more boggy pulling my utility trailer around. Is this typical?

Thanks.

it sounds to me like it is running rich i would try either putting a smaller main jet in or moving the c clip up another notch. or try both. look at your plug it should be a dark brown color if it is black its defently running rich.

I thought about trying it up one more notch, only trouble is, there is a plastic spacer (spring seat) that goes on top of the needle after the clip, and there is barely enough needle left after the clip to put the spacer on now. Don't think I can raise it anymore. Is this normal?

Take the spacer out. You will have to find the right spot for the clip agian though by reading your plug. That spacer is only there as another adjustment. I had the same problem with my 99 Wolverine. I took it out and it allowed for more adjustment.

You need the spacer I'm talking about because the spring seats on it. Spring is too wide to seat on the c-clip. Link below is the insatll pdf from dynojet. See Fig. A. The bigest spacer on the right is the one I'm talking about, the long spring seats on it.

So looking at the pdf link, it told me to use the DJ128 jet as I am way below 3000 ft. You are saying I should try the DJ124?

Thanks.
