Winch replacement cable??
Some call it plasma rope...some call it synthetic winch rope. Either way, it holds up extremely well. Easily stronger than wire rope...lighter (it actually floats)...easier to handle (no burrs)...and probably the best feature of all...no chance of lashback if it breaks. It simply drops to the ground. All it requires is simple maintenence just like any winch cable does. Keep it clean, and out of direct sunlight. I don't have it personally, but have seen it used on several rock crawling and trail Jeeps. Those guys know how to winch, and do it a lot, and they swear by it. More and more participants are using it in competition simply because it's so easy to handle. It is more expensive, but the benefits make it well worth it. Check out Ebay for some decent prices. I've seen it on there for around $30.00 for 50 ft. of 3/16".

I have Amsteel Blue synthetic on my winch and would never go back to a steel cable again. Try www.okoffroad.com
