For a while now Ive had the drive shaft out of my quad and I got the new boot/seals. One problem, I can’t get the boot/seal on the drive shaft. I already broke two of them because I had to stretch them to get them on. Well I got three more, just incase one more breaks. Ive tried to grease them up to help them slip on. Well VERY little help but it did seem to help just a little but no where close to how much I needed it to help. My question is, is their any type of tool used for rubber seals to help with this. I ask this because Ive tried almost all techniques to help including grease or soaking them in hot water. im including the link for a diagram of the part so u might have a better idea of what Im talking about. Its part number 41 in the bottom right of the diagram. Hope that helps and Im very grateful for any help I can get.

If I remebercorrectly, when I did my 424 install. The driveshaft has 2 diff sizes on each end. You might have to take the bootoff the smaller side then slip the boot on for the bigger side, then the smaller boot again. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Yeah I get what your saying, but that wouldn’t help. Anyways, brought it to the service department and they got it on in about 1-2 min. in one hour after putting all the other seals and boots and grease I had that shaft back in there and ready to run. That was last night at about 7. So today I did a whole lot of ridding.
