You keep talking about the price between the BF and KQ. I can purchase a BF $900 less then the KQ but this may be a local issue. The KQ dealers are listing the bikes at $9900.00 CDN and not moving where as I can get a BF for $9100.00 CDN or $9900.00 with bugs/589's and ITP rims.

The only problem I see is the relation between the two currency conversions. MSRP has not changed with the lower US dollar so I think the US based bikes are a better deal with our dollar trading at $1.20 and is getting stronger. In a year and half the CDN dollar will be on par then us CDN's will have to cross the border to buy our quads. Sorry for going off topic

Just wondering where you got a $9100 CDN price, I'd drive to Saskabush from Alberta to get a deal like that. The closest I came was $9700, and I had to work hard for that price!

Parker Moto Sports in Regina.

I deal with Mel Parker. Mel and his wife run the business. The only drawback for yourself will be the provincial sales tax but Mel is very good to deal with. He offered to sell me a 750BF Camo at $9900 including the winch, 27" Mud Bugs and ITP rims.

Mel also owns 2 BF's for his own personal use so he can speak from experience when discussing different mods or repairs.

Both of these bikes aren't really meant for "work". Do either one of them even have trailer hitches? If I had to choose, it would be the BF, the KQ is a sport bike with small racks and very little capacity. The BF isn't much better. Try looking at the AC 650, they're more of what you're looking for. No matter what utility you get, it's not going to stay with a sport bike anyway. Good luck with your purchase.

I can say from personal experience, the KQ is an excellent utility quad that just happens to have a great trail ride too. I have used my KQ to pull my boat lift and dock out of the lake, pull my trailered boats and jet skis out, move my loaded snowmobile trailers around and also pull my 1400lb fish house around with ease. There has been very little suspension squat(with the shocks set at 4/5) and it doesn't seem as though the engine is being overworked at all. The racks are fine, too. They work great for moving sacks of landscaping material around the yard and if you are going to be loading up more than 200lbs of material, you shouldn't be using the racks anyway. Get a trailer for this. I looked at the BF and the Sportsman 700EFI and found the KQ to be the best sport and utility quad out there.

i would recommend either the Brute Force 750 or Sportsman 800. You said that his dad is looking for a good ute that will keep up with a couple raptors. Well the KQ just doesn't have the power of the other two. Plain and simple, it's a fact. the suzuki guys can try to deny it, but that's just how it is. Anyone who thinks a sportsman isn't maneuverable either hasn't ever rode one, hasn't rode one much, or doesn't have an open mind about the sportsmans. they ride like a cadillac and are VERY maneuverable. Bottom line is the KQ is a great all around quad, but if you want a quad that is just as good and has more power, either the BF or the Sportsman 800 would be better choices. They do in most cases cost slightly more, but IMO they are worth it when you consider what you're getting. People like to talk about the 800s price, but seem to forget how it has more features that the competition.

You Sportsman guys are killing me. Here are the facts and you can't deny it:

The Sportsman 800 is $8,599 -- The King Quad is $7,199 That's a difference of $1,400 and no one in their right mind can tell me that this is a SLIGHT difference.

The Sportsman 800 does have more power but no one know exactly how much until we see a shootout between the two. IMO it can't be $1,400 worth of an increase.

The Sportsman may be maneuverable in your opinion but there is no way you can say it's more so than the King Quad. The KQ is more nimble than the Sportsman 700 so there's no way it coudn't beat the 800 in this area since most everything on the 800 is the same with the exception of more power. The one shootout that has came out clearly states this. The Polaris rides like a cadillac do doubt but saying it's more maneuverable than the KQ is simply not true. I drive an very modded Acura RSX-S and it's extremely maneuverable but to say the ride is very smooth just can't be said.

You mention that the Sportsman has more options than it's competition so what's it got that the KQ doesn't?

I've rode both the 500 and 700 Sportsman and they are both good quads and there is no doubt in my mind that the 800 would be anything other than super. I would buy one but I can't get over the weight, shifter, wide seat, and crazy price. For my sporty style of riding the KQ suites me the best.

I read in a magazine once that the KQ will start from a dead battery, and the sportsman will not start unless it has a charged battery. That is a little scarey to me in an atv. I have left my lights on to long before and that would suck if you had to pull it back and charge the battery before it would start ???? just something to consider! I am not bashing just stating!
