Default Plowing Help

Winchs and plows are sold by many different people on the net. The only problem you will have is that each brand of atv reguires a special winch mounting plate for that particular brand of atv. Installing a plate, winch and plow will require some mechanical appitude, but not a real lot. good luck!

Default Plowing Help

Good point Pakrat. But although a powered lift may be quite easy, the manual lift really is also quite easy. My blade weighs over 100 pounds. My manual lift raises the blade about 4 inches. The lift handle on my plow moves about 24 inches. That means I have a 6 to 1 leverage, or about a 16 pound pull. This seems pretty easy when I am using it. I have plowed for 3 hours at a time and never gottten tired from lifting. I think one advantage I see with the manual lift is that I have a feel for what the blade is doing. I am not saying the manual is best, only pointing out that its not so bad.
I hope this helps
