I have a 2004 Rancher ES 350 and a 2002 Rubicon. Any opinions out there about the pro's & con's of installing a 4wd to 2wd conversion kit? Appreciate any knowledgeable input. Would also like to know about difficulty of installation & cost. Thanks again!!!

if you buy the 4wd-2wd it'll be easier to steer, you'll feel like you've got more power...itll be alot more fun to drive. my friend put one on his wolverine and it was a whole new quad...it took them about 2 hours i think...they give u good instructions that say 2-4 hours installation time. you can pick up the warn kit for about $230 from www.4atvtires.com.

Don't know if it will be much different from my installation on my Wolverine, had to pull some a-arm bolts to get at the differential to move it forward and pull the front driveshaft, but a couple of hours will usually get the job done. It is like a different quad in 2wd, turns much tighter, you can really spin the back and whip it around the corners, and feels more like a sport quad on the trail ,and if it gets rocky or deep, push the button, and you are back to 4wd, some of the best money I spent was on the Warn 424, hard to go wrong if you work and play on your quad.
