Default Grizzly axle seal

I own a 2004 Grizzly and today I was checking fluids and noticed my right rear axle seal was leaking. Upon closer inspection I noticed the axle wasn't all the way in (it was out about 1/4"). I took the rear wheel off and pushed on the axle and it wnt in and it clicked as it seated. I know they had some issues with axles coming out so I called the dealer to see if they had a seal and a new clip. When I told them what was wrong and what I had done they told me to leave it alone and it will be fine. They said it may not have been snapped all the way in from when it was new. It has 600 miles on it and I was wondering what you guys think I should do. Leave it and see what happens or get a new clip and seal ?? Thanks in advance for any input.
