Here is the answer:
Go buy an atv of any make & ride it with your friends, drink beer, roast hot dogs & compete on the trails & in the mud.
Have fun & make fun of one another.
Enough is enough. Do you all believe everything that is on TV . ( I sure don't )

Well this is My first post here but I did watch the show and they didn't knock any one. They said there were no machines available at the time of the test. It is hard to comment on the show if you didn't see it.

Quick, everybody run -- the Black helicopters are coming!!! These forums are full of the most paranoid individuals about the magazine and TV reviews. '
I think that Doug Meyer and his crew do a good job of trying to objectively rate a very subjective subjet -- which is the best ATV. They spend a good amount of care on the key issues. Visit the website to read the reviews for yourself:

The only area that I have some complaints with their ratings is that they are biased toward machines with indpendent rear suspension and locking 4wd differential. But overall, their reviews are pretty accurate. The show was also filmed late in 2004 (a repeat was broadcast last week) and there were very few 800 EFI machines available. None of the magazines published head to head reviews until recently, because Polaris did not make the machine available for independent testing and shootouts until late 2004 (figure a 2-3 month lag time for magazines from testing to publishing and 1-2 months minimum for TV). So, If Polaris wants their big bad EFI tested, they should provide it to the reviewers in a timely fashion. Now one of the magazines (maybe Dirt Wheels?) did do comparison of the King Quad (it's open class winner) and the Polaris 800. The Polaris was faster and they felt handled better. It's engine carried its mammoth girth around very well.
So, take the foil out of your hat and actually critically read the reviews before blathering on about conspiracies and sellouts.
