Default Fourtrax lift kit trouble

Hey all, I ordered a lift kit for my 98 fourtrax 300 2x4 today, but was unclear about what product # to order. In rocky mnt. catolog they only show kits for 4x4's; product number HLH 301for 98-01's and HLH 300 for 80's-98 models. On the highlifter website, under the install instructions, I found they do make a kit for the 2wd model, high lifters product code was HLK 301. Now I realize that these are two different companies but I have found that their product numbers do match. I called high lifter and asked them, they said the 2wd kit's product number is HLK 302. But I wasnt able to find that product number anywhere on their website. To my knowledge, I dont believe that it would matter if the bike was 4x4 or not I just know that they changed the shocks in the mid nineties so the basic geometry of everything should be the same. Anyone have an opinon on this? Should the 4x4 kit fit and work properly on my 2wd?

Sounds like a huge waste of money and time. Save your money, sell the Fourtrax and buy a 4x4.
I don't mean to be an a$$, but I would laugh at you with a jacked up 2x4 quad.

Wow thanks for the support! I need more ground clearance, pluse I'd like to run something bigger than 25's on the back. 75 bucks aint bad for a little more clearance. Heck I could waste my money on a windshield. haha

Jmatt, Go over to highlifter.com. There are more than one lifted 2wd 300s over there. Makes sense to me.
