Default more power

what is the best muffler for more power for 4x4 atvs and do they just slip on type. trying to give my 2004 kodiak 450 a little more power

well you can get the exhaust slipon or full system i suggest the full systems but that me it will give a little bit more power
i like the pro circuit Ti-4 exhaust on out quads

HMF makes a muffler for just utility 4-wheelers that add some h.p. But you then have to rejet. They have both slip-ons and full systems.

Just my opinion, but I think HMF has the best utility mullfer. If you don't mind it being very loud go with the regular HMF for utilities, but if you want something close to stock in sound but with increased power, look at the HMF QS1.

do you have to rejet the carb when you add the new muffler.

To get the full potential out of an aftermarket mufler or system, you need to open the airbox up and get more air into the motor. Some quads you can get away without rejeting if you leave the airbox stock although it may run a little lean. If you open up the air box, you will definately have to re-jet.
