the only other symptom is that the recovery bottle fills all the way up to the tip top and then starts to leak out thats all that i have noticed. I took the wheeler out today to see if spraying the radiator fins with water help any and i went 23 miles and it never overheated until i drove it into the garage turned it off then turned the key to let the fan run and then it overheated. it was about 10 -15 degrees cooler today then it was the first time it overheated.

Camando,
The "recovery bottle" you're speaking about should only be filled to the full line. If you fill it to the top, then crank it, it will force it's way out the cap. You have to leave room for expansion, which it why the full mark is not at the top of the bottle. Again, are you sure you're not running high octane? I have seen so many people have your exact problem, and come to find out their runnning high octane.

You may have air in the system or bad radiator cap.

20045 next time i stop i will leave the wheeler running untell the fan has stopped so the coolant is still flowing but if it overheats when i shut it off and just have the fan on that must mean it is right on the boarder of overheating. so i was thinking if i leave the wheeler alone for a while then let the level in the recovery bottle get to normal and that is at the max line i have seen then drain some out of the bottle so it is right in the middle of max and min that should prevent it from filling all the way up and leaking im hopeing.
ppope i am almost 100% positive im running low octane gas since it is gas that was bought for the lawn mower and that is just regular unleaded which is 87 octane.

Are you getting bubbles in your overflow bottle while the quad is running? If you have a head gasket leak then it will get blowby in the coolant and superheat the coolant and cause it to overheat very quickly. This could happen if someone before you overheated it pretty bad or tried mods or whatever.
You might not get bubbles at idol either but it might only blowby under a load. You can have your radiator fluid tested for oil/gasoline by different testing facilities but I don't know of any offhand.
