Default Sprayers on ATVs

Greetings,

My sprayer appears to be running down -- and killing -- the batteries on my Recon. Does anyone out there have experience with these things? Should I be getting a larger battery? Is there another fix such as altering the wiring?

Make sure you have it hooked up to your ignition wiring not just straight to the battery, so when you shut the wheeler off the sprayer is shut off and the battery doesnt die.

I have used a 15 gallon sprayer on my rancher for three years and never had a problem with the battery. I would suspect you had a bad battery from the beginning.

We've been using one on the old Honda Four trx for many years and have never had a problem. It's hooked directly to the battery too. Could be you have a short in the switch or something. Get a wire tester and see if there is power when it's turned off. Also check your wires for fraying on the frame.

I had a sprayer once on my Brute Force. It was a 12-oz can of Old Milwaukee that somehow got a little puncture in it when we were out raging around one night last winter.

SSSSHHHHHHH. . . . . . don't tell everybody - if they all start drinking it, the price will go up!!!! Fortunately for us, a lot of people confuse it with The Beast (Milwaukee's Best).
