Default HMF Utility Exhaust...

Does anyone have the HMF QS1 Ultra-Quiet Utility Exhaust. I am looking to put a pipe on my 05 Rubicon and I am starting my research. I have heard good things about the regular HMF utility pipe but I have not heard much about the QS1. I would like to know if the power gain on the QS1 is as great as there regular utility pipe. There has to be more packing/restriction in the QS1 to make it so quiet which would suggest that the power gain would be less than a louder/less restricted pipe. Any help would be appreciated.

I can only speak from what I have read and heard, but the QS1 gives good power increase and maintains stock sound level. The power isn't the same as the regular HMF pipe, but then the sound on the HMF is pretty obnoxious too. The QS1 also is a little better on fuel milage too.

Starky is correct. The QS1 will not offer the same gains as the Utility series but is the way to go if a low noise level is high priority.

I have the Penland race series and run the quiet core when noise is a concearn. The quiet core brings it close to stock.

Cirviver,
I've been thinking about getting the QS1 myself. If you get one, let us know how it works.

I got the utility series and realy like it. The sound is not overwhelming, but is deep and throaty. I got the quite core but never use it unless I have to. Its just to close to stock sound. The gains were nice in the low end to mid range. Overall I have nothing bad to say about it. I have not heard the QS-1, sorry.
