Default Suzuki Eiger

Hi all im kinda new to ATV's (never owned one but ridden many). I am looking at buying a suzuki Eiger 4x4 manual for farm use/ some trail riding. Now for the questions. How much can you pull with this bike without damaging it? Are the any hop ups that you would recomend to pull and use to putt around the farm. Are there any power hop up for it? Last but not least is $5,149 a decent price (local small dealer) or should I try to find one somewhere else cheaper? Sorry for all the questions but thanks for the help.

Got my 05 manual for $4800 out the door with a 2 year warranty. The Eiger is a good reliable quad. It'll do any kind of work you want it to do. It's got great power, but if not enough you can put a bigger jet in it. With it's low range it'll pull about anything. It's got to be the best quad for the money out there right now.

I agree, The Eiger is a great machine. The Low Range sub tranny was a major factor in my decision for the Eiger. Its got the gearing to tackle tough trails easily. The next best thing to a Low Range would be Yamaha's Big Bear. It has a compound first gear and it seemed very low geared on my test drive. Still not like having a LR though as I have 10 gears forward instead of just 5

Do a search on here for the Eiger, and you'll see that everyone has good things to say about it. I bought mine a few months ago and can't stay off it. It's fun to ride, powerful for its size, agile, and haven't had any problems, other than toasting the front brakes for some reason. You're looking at a good price. Mine was 5200, prolly payed a bit more than I should have for it, but it's been well worth it so far.

I don't think you'll find a better 400 cc quad ...........but I'm predjudiced........I have an Eiger auto.
I've got almost 2000 miles on it and, wiyh the exception of a rear differential seal, no problems.
This quad is used in Search and Rescue, hence it has seen use in every imaginable condition.
It carries about 125 lbs of gear, as well as my.........self.
It's mid-size frame makes it very manuverable in tight terrain compared to the 500 + cc machines.
I do use all the power available on ocassion........but it always gets the job done.
Good machine.
