High seating position? Have you ridden a KingQuad?

 

My dad has both a brute and a king, I did not care for either one of them. I likened the King to the 660 grizz I had a few years ago. I like the power of the BF750 but hated the suspension IMO the BF has about the worst suspension I have ever experinced. If I wanted to do some serious mods to one I would look at the BF closer but it looks like it would take at least a grand, to fix it or the king to more my liking and taht being the case I would rather have the twin and the extra power over the king. I am sorry the king just never impressed me that much past the EFI.

 

My friend has a Grizzly which I have put a fair amount of seat time on and I just cannot see how you compare the Grizzly handling to that of a KingQuad. Maybe this is why a lot of the hardcore King riders left this forum for Nyroc's. Too much bs floating around about the KingQuad on this forum.

 

Sorry goblin, not trying to offend you, just being honest about what I felt. They both handle ok, to me not good but not bad either. They have that tall seating position that I just do not care for. I am not a big fan of IRS because, that is what normaly happens with the exception of Honda and BRP. I also felt it was similar in that it seems to have that same vibration that seems to come with the territory of big singles. I am not the first or the only one that saw similarties in the the handeling of grizz and King. I thought you sould know I am on Nyroc's site about everyday and have been for some time. So if it comes up you should know I would give the same answer there as I have here. Also you might not have noticed but it would seem that nyroc himself has backed way off on his opinion of the king at least he does not seem to be raving about it much anymore, last I checked he never did go ahead and buy one.

 

True I do have these mods but I also have a very heavy winch up front and significantly heavier tires than stock. All I am saying is that regardless of what is done to a KQ it can never have the bottom end grunt that the v-twin has.

 

I never said it would have the low-end torque of the V-twins. However, you better believe that once the aftermarket comes out with a module, this thing will flip over on top of you if you want it to. I've seen ride reviews from guys who rode it before it was in production and the lag was not incorporated into the ignition then. Nyroc told me on June 30th that the only reason he's stopped talking about the KingQuad is because of the Outlander 800. This does not make the Suzuki a bad quad.

 

I never said it was a bad quad either, I said it was ok, Not good, and Not bad IMO. The main thing I liked about it was the EFI but the other things I did not care for did not get out weighed by the EFI which is why I did not jump on the KQ band wagon and why I did not run out and buy one. The BRP 800 is the quad to meet all challengers head on and roll right over some of them IMO. This is going to be an interesting year in the shootouts. Last year when BRP said they were not competing in them but would be back with a real contender next year, it would seem that they were not kidding one bit.

the best atv out there is a suzuki king quad and don't say 800 bomb it's not out yet and in so when it is i from what i read i perfer the king quad , bomb 800 = yucky poopy boat with wheels hahah

 

I agree with KazeMudder! Besides, the Bombardier isn't even what this thread was asking about---Brute Force 750, Kingquad 700, or Rincon?
