Adjusting the top of the blade back does help. In my first blade I even drilled some extra holes in it so I could lay the blade back further than normal. The down side is the snow doesn't curl in front of the blade as well so it comes over the top, even with the flap on top. I have even coated my blade with a pickup bed liner so it stays slick and the snow has less tendency to pickup the blade.

Thats a great idea reb....I thought I was gonna try it until I just went out to the garage and took a look at the mechanism....ain't no way! They've got quite an ingenious mechanism for the lift of this unit that does not lend itself to any kind of adjustment unless you replaced some of their brackets, which would be tough because they have stamped bends in them to go around the lift cylinder. It would have to be a factory type adjustment accomplished through replacement of their standard brackets.
