As I remember you can get a Warn 60" snowplow with tubes, mount and 2.5 winch for $800 to $850 including freight. I don't know what the other brands cost but based on that, the $900 Blackline price isn't bad, just not a great one either.

A couple concerns I would have with the Blackline are the receiver hook up and the solid down pressure. A 60" blade is going to apply a lot of leverage against the receiver and in my opinion the blade needs to be able to move up some if a rock or some object is encountered under the snow. Don't get me wrong, down pressure is good, just not a solid down pressure. There needs to be some forgiveness built into it.

The suspension will absorb some shock but to raise the blade an inch could take up to a couple hundred pounds of force. That is enough to do damage. I imagine if the speed were kept low enough it would probably be ok though. Might rattle a persons teeth a little though.

I feel that the blackline definitely has it's advantages---under the right circumstances.

What if you are plowing and and your front tires drop off of a curb? The front end drops, and the blade (kinda) high centers an the curb, causing a lot of wear on the blade. When pushing snow from a driveway into the street, front of atv drops at end of driveway (depresson where driveway meets street), and the blade digs into pavement. Ouch!

If you don't have these situations, then it's a great blade.

(Just got done plowing and had these situations occur.)

At first look the Black Line it appears to have good quality and a lot of thought went into its design, but I agree with everyone else about the down pressure. A 60" blade is heavy enough with just floating, I don't think added down pressure is needed.

The way it attaches to the front of the quad instead of underneath the chasis seems it would put a lot of wear and tear on the quad, especially the front suspension. The whole thing just looks heavy and cumbersome.

Did the pricing include the power angle and lift? If so, the price seems very reasonable for everything you get.

the price just includes power lift the plow and all the bracets and switch to move it, the power angle has not yet reached the distributers. But i dont see how it would be hard on the suspension if anything it would'nt be hard on it because when you apply the down pressure you are taking weight off the quad. and its not that heavy they only weigh 90 pounds.
