Need Help Buying a New Snow Plow
#1
Hey guys, I'm going to buy a snow plow for my Brute Force 650 in case we get some snow. I have a fairly long drive way and already have a winch on my Brute Force. I want some opinions on the best mounting system and brand. Also I'm not sure whether it would be better to get straight blade or angled blade. any help will be appreciated.

i use a vee plow by cycle country. its a little pricey but when ya use it a few times its well worth the money. the forward vee cuts plow time almost in half. when ya scoop the snow. the cost for mount plate push tube an blade 50" its about $600.00 when i got it its about $650 if you know of anyone that has one i'd say try an you'll be sold

I have a Vinson 500 and it pushes a 60" blade with no problem. You can change the angle of the blade from left to right or make it straight. Mine is a "Cycle Country" and the whole set up was about $450 for the blade, push tube and mounting bracket.
I never used a V blade - what is the advantage? It seems you would only have half the blade to use at a time - except for the first run. Is the advantage because you don't have to change the blade angle? Very curious.....
Happy plowing, Doug

sorry i didnt mention how it works it is called a vee but each side moves forward an back it has 6 different positions you can have it in a forward vee to scoop or straight or you can angle it as you would a straight blade or i can angle each side what ever direction i want to. i think you were thinking it was a solid vee but its moveable both sides forward an back. very nice ya can get spoiled quick

i have an eagle 60" on my kingquad. it was 385 delivered. it is very strong and the mount is my favorite part. it is two piece. no u-bolts to tear-up and no trimming of plastic. the main part stays bolted on all the time and doubles as a skid plate. in winter, you bolt the other piece on. then you roll atv over plow and attach. it takes about 30 seconds to hook up after 2nd piece is bolted on. i love it.

Kingluvr, do you have the American Eagle 60" plow, if so is it the standard or "country" plow blade. I am looking into getting one of these for my 750 Brute Force and I am having trouble on which to go with. LEt me know if you have any tips for me. Thanks

yea, its the american eagle plow. i got the straight blade. we havent had enough snow to plow yet, but i tell ya this plow is stout. its rather heavy, which is good. i cant talk enough about the two piece mount and it is well designed. i would definitely get the 60" for your brute. it has plentyof power to push it just like my king. the only thing i have pushed with it so far was a downed tree from a wind storm. NO PROBLEM! the price was right too. got it from creekside powersports for 385 to my door. thats for blade, push tubes and mount. i am useing my winch for a lift mechanism.

Kingluvr,
I am looking for a plow for a Honda 500 Foreman, where did you buy yours?
Since my Foreman is a 2WD I am thinking about an Eagle 54". I will also put chains on the Foreman.
Thanks

I have a 48" Glacier plow (I know I should've bought bigger but I bought it before I found this place.) Quick and easy mount and dismount, so far everything seems very durable, but all I've pushed is about 3 inches of slush with it, so I can't say for sure.
