Just wondering if anybody has tried theMoose Complete Winter Pack ?
I bought some Hot Grips and a thumbwarmer, then decided that I didn't want two seperate switches. And wasn't sure if I could wire them off of the same switch, so after looking at a bunch of different options, I ordered the winter pack from Moose. I like the looks of the controller and the fact that you can have different levels of heat to the grips and thumbwarmer.

 

Look at the Symtec dual hand thumb warmers. The control centre works on both with 5 variable settings. It works great.

 

ever have problems with the symtec warmers? mine got condensation in them and now they won`t work and only had them on for a year.

 

I just put the Moose winter pack on my KQ yesterday. The grips get nice and warm. The only issue I see so far is that if you don't like the design or feel of the grip you are never going to get them off without ruining them.

 

My grips have worked well but I store my bike in my garage. Has your control box been rained on allot because I don't ride in heavy rain.

as last stated if something doesn't work the whole system is useless. I would call Symtec and explain your issue as they have the best customer service.

 

mine spent some time out last winter before i got my garage and alwas noticed moisture in the box when the temp changed. Thinking of taking them apart if i get no results from my dealer.

 

moosepak is the same as the symtec warmers

 

e-mailed symtec and they are going to have a meeting on tues and help me out wth my problem.

 

i got the Hot Grips and a seprate Symtec thumb warmer. easy to wire to the same switch, but still only have off, low, and high. fine with me, tho. this allows the smallest, most reliable control package and no condensation problem.

I installed a set of Weekend-Warrior heated grips on my 2006 Rancher. So far so good. They are a full one piece grip setup which seem to get nice and hot. They are also a bigger size which fits my hand nicely. I just don't know how I'll ever get them off in the event they fail or I want something else. Prolly have to cut them off.
