Default 2006 Gizzly vs. 2006 King Quad

I'm buying a quad in the next couple of weeks. Between the '06 Grizzly and the '06 King Quad, which is the better choice? Why is it the better choice? My friends have steered me more towards the Yamaha. Please give me some feedback!!!

Check em both out

look at how things are made, how things clear, how you could possibly break something, which looks sturdy?

The KQ is more popular now, it is newer with newer features. The Grizz is an old favorite though, many would argue that is the benchmark quad.

Truthfully, you couldn't hardly go wrong with any choice, they are all good imo

Compare the features of the two and decide whats more important to you. There both good quads. I (personally) would go with the kingquad because of the EFI and extra horsepower. I would put aftermarket tires on either one so they both will go through anything. I think the griz looks nicer though.

They are both awesome quads.......test ride both and go with what feels best to you.
If they both feel the same then go with what one is the best deal.
Like the others have said........you will be happy with either.

In all honesty, the KingQuad pretty much is a Grizzly that is a little bit improved in about every aspect except pure utility use.

Thanks for the suggestions and feedback. It's unfortunate that I can't ride a King Quad. No one in Albuquerque has one in stock!!! That in itself has to say a lot. The dealer is looking for one for me. I have a smokin' deal up in Southern Colorado on a '06 Grizzly for $6800 out the door or $7100 out the door for a special edition. I'm not sure if I want to wait around for the King Quad. It just depends how quickly they can get one.

I have spent alot of time on both. I would get the KQ unless you are a strict mudder. The Grizz has better ground clearance, other than than the KQ is improved some in everyway. Grizz is still a good quad and very capable but Suzuki just up the ante a little everywhere except ground clearance.

I have a 2006 Grizzly and my buddy has an 05 KQ. The KQ is a bit quicker than the grizz, as to be expected with it have 35cc more. They handle realtively similar. Their 4x4 systems are very similar. The Grizz has more ground clearance, and more suspension travel than the KQ, making it a better mud quad, but if speed is your thing KQ is your answer. Both have sorry stock tires, so factor in some aftermarkets for either one, if you plan to really use the 4x4. You should be able to get the $ down on that Grizz. I just baught mine in Dec. for $6200 OTD.
