At speed that stiff suspension works better and gives a solid feel. A few minor mods and the BF750 is absolutely awesome. Wheels, tires, CDI module, and if your budget can swing it, Elka or Works shocks. After that these machines are unstoppable.

total est. for upgrades would end up over 2000.00
So from my perspective the real number to use to get the Brute up to par with the other 2 would be more like $9599.00 in keeping all things fair by useing the MSRPs of all 3 of the machines

I paid 7599.00 for my Polaris 800 last year if you want to do it your way. In doing so the modified BF750 cost a grand more than the polaris. I also think you might have forgot about the labor for installing the shocks. If the Polaris and Bomb do not need modified shocks and are already stable and handel well from the factory then its only fair to compare the Brute as turn key ready as well. The Outy 800' s will come down some in price as soon as the supply catches up with demand as with all new machines. Even with all these mods the Brute still does not have the advantages that come with the others EFI systems, and the Brute is still short on power compared to the Outy.

Very true, however, think about this. The kawie BF750 is the closest in power to the outy800, and it is definitly not far behind. Futhermore, the outy800 and sp800 are 800cc class machines with efi, while the bf750 is a 750 class machine w/o efi. So, if the bf750 comes close to speed and power now, just imagine what it would do with efi on the same displacement??? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that the outy800 and sp800 are "tuned" on the high ends, while the bf750 is "tuned" on the lower end. That means the bf750 holds it's own very well against 800 class machines while it's motor is tuned down. When these guys like CC1999 tune their kawie vtwins up, it beats the outy800 eaisly and blows away the sp800. Just watch his video. But, remember before you bash me, I don't have all the knowledge as guys like CC1999 and others do, so if I am wrong, sorry for the miss-information.

The Outy can not be beat by any of my kawi twins that are just well tuned, only my kawi twin with the 800cc big bore kit can take it. On the Dyno there is only 1 hp differnce in my 800 BB Prarie (Twin Peaks) compaired to the Outy. The Outy has the best stock motor on the market right now IMO.
You are correct in your assesment of the Polaris 800. A well tuned (CDI,jet Kit,and exhaust) stock bore Prarie 700 can beat it, up to about 50 mph and because the clutching in the CVTs are geared differntly the Polaris will real in the Prairie in a longer distance race. The Prairie favors shorter runs when put against the Sportsman 800s. The sportsman Favors the longer runs when against the Prairie's. I think thats what you were saying about the the Outy and the Sportsman 800s being tuned for more high end. That is the case with the sportsman but the Outy seems to have it at both ends.
I too am very enterested in seeing what Kawi has to offer next year. I hope they do bring EFI to there awsome twins, I just hope they give guys like myself a choice between SRA and IRS chassis if they want my business. I realy thought they were going to have a 750 SRA Brute this year and do away with the prairie 700. Meaning use the same chassis the BF650 SRA and prairie use just drop in the brute 750's motor. I think that combination would have at least given kawi a shot at some glory this year.

wayout, here hey 700vtwinman, the first thing you need to do is read the post i made dated 2-5 2006 at 5:18 pm. I'm not making Polaris god of ATVs, but one thing i can tell you i would have a Polaris any time over a kawazuki, thats my personal opinion, which i'm entitled too, thank you,, done seen to many of those things go to pot in the first day of ownership, maybe you guys got some good ones, i hope you did, it's heart breaking to pay that much money for something to break down the first time you ride it, i've had a lot of trouble with my polaris sp 400, thank god for the extended warrenty, the first one i had was a 500 it give me 6800 miles of care free service, having said that, you know some people won't admit they bought a pile of junk, i will, and i think their's other people on here will too... i was just tring to give the guy some sound advice on my experience with kawi's, i've seen nothing but nightmares out of those v-twins of all sizes, and beleive me i've seen alot....... as for the magazines, i'm no expert but thats all i do is read those magazines, have read them for years, you don't know the times i've seen mistakes about products, colors of new machines, options, one year they like a product the next year they don't with no major changes in the atvs,, they make more mistakes than you all realize i'm just speaking out of truth, they are alot of people go out and buy a atv just because dirtwheels or any of them say it's a good bike, you have to be opened minded, makes a person wonder about them after seeing the mistakes over alot of years of reading, thats hands on experience not an opinion,it's a fact, sad but true, face it boys, don't get mad at me for stating facts i know is true, i'm not trying to be a know it all, just share my experience... i have alot of people, alot, some of them come to me with questions, i try always to give them facts not hear say, they respect my opinion which is nice sometimes..as for the post about spending money on something you are just going to ride in the woods, i was not talking about buying a certain atv just all those extra things like new shocks, wheels and all the other stuff, i can't afford it, but if you can, then spend it, if i had it i probally would too. i just like trying to help people, in the future i'll try to keep my mouth shut, watch how i say things, alot of you take offense easily, so do i..wayout, out........ peace!!!!

I have spent many thousands of miles on Kawis, Hondas, Suzuki, Yamaha's and several hundred miles riding a Polaris 700EFI. Every quad has things good about them and some not so good. Every rider comes in with certain talents or lack thereof which make certain quads more or less enjoyable for that person. Having grown up in a small town I could ride from my back door across our fields and into the woods. I would consider myself a very advance rider and have all the scars and torn muscles from racing to show it. I also have four kids and needed something to keep up with a 15 year old on a 400EX but still putt around with a 4 year old on a 50. I demanded a separate front a rear brake in a light weight package. I chose the Kawi and have no regrets. In a year or two I will look again, but for now I am very satisfied. The Kawi has enough power to keep things interesting while filling all of my other needs.
If you are a less skilled rider or enjoy a more leisurely ride the Polaris is good. If you're into racing up a sand hill or dragging the Bombs are hard to beat.

Thanks for the clairfication. That is kind of what I was trying to say, just I don't have the experience and knowledge you do. That is why many of us listen to you guys with the experience and knowledge and try to ignore the other ones who bash. You knowledge is much appreciated. BTW....I too hope they make a 800efi kawie with SRA option.

Wayout, Yes you are entitled to your opinion, but that doesn't mean it is "sound" advice. It is just your opinion. Same with my opinion. I try to listen to guys like CC1999, and others who 1) have a lot of experience, 2) don't bash other quads, and 3) give pros and cons of all quads. You came in here saying you would take a polaris any time over a kawie because of your "experience." However, if you listen to that statement, even though it might be true for you, it sounds like you are bashing kawies. Remember, wording and tone is everything in communications. If you would have said something like, "I prefer Polaris quads over kawie," that would have come across much better. When you say...."done seen too many of those things go to pot in the first day of ownership," you lose credibility because I have never heard of "several" quads of the same manufacture go out in the first day of ownership. Yes maybe one here or there, but when you say, "done seen too many of those..." is saying you have seen several kawies on the 1st day "go to pot." That is beyond reason. A company would not be in business if their product failed on the 1st day. And, the kawie v-twins have a proven record of reliability and being the top motor for the past several years. Look at Mike Penland. He is the king of utility class atv racing......using the kawie v-twins.
You also said that, NOTHING is true in the magazines. Yes there are mistakes and sometimes misleading information, but you said NOTHING IS BELIEVABLE. Surely something is true in these magazines??? Come on!
So, bottom line is, yes you are entitled to your opinion, but becareful how you come across. That is unless your true intentions is to stir up cr@p.
