Default Front shocks

I need some advise. I bought a 1996 Polaris 425 magnum 6X6 to use for utlity and farm work. This is the first Polaris and the first 6X6 I have been on, so I dont know what is normal and what isnt. When I go over ruts I seem to get thrown around way more than I did on 4X4's that I have been on. Is this somthing I should expect or might I have somthing wrong? It looks to me like both of my front shocks are leaking, could this be my problem or is there somthing else I should look for?

If this is a new rig and the shocks appear to be leaking I would return it to the dealership for inspection. As far as the rougher ride is concerned, we have a couple of quads and also a John Deere 6X6. The six by reacts a lot differently to ruts and humps than the quads and will tend to bounce you around more in your normal seated position as you don't tend to absorb a lot of the vehicle motion with your legs.

You might post this on the Polaris forum and see what they say.

First I would be concerned if your shocks are leaking. Try your question in the, RUV and RTV Offroad Vehicle, they talk about your kind of vehicles and such.

Good luck
