Is there a way to make an atv street legal? Can u put one of those goofy lookin orange "slow moving vehicle" signs on it or is that still illegal? I really need to kno because the cops where i live r really gettin tough on atv's because of complaints about a kids atv being way to loud, so the cops are warning a few people the first time but really like to give out $75 tickets. Any help will be appriciated by many.

 

i read something about street legal quads somewhere once, but i think your gonna need alot more than your orange sign. brake lights, directionals, who knows what else. i think your best bet would be to contact your states dept. of motor vehicles and ask them what the laws are.

 

Each state, and to an extent each city makes their own requirements. What is legal here may not be there. Check with your Dept. of Motor Viechles or State Patrol for requirements.
