Default ATV Rachet Winch

Stumbled across this winch and was wondering has any one ever used one? Would be good for a plow?? Came across it on Rocky Mountian ATV and got curious about it. Tell me more about it.

No, it would NOT be practical for a plow. You would be better off with a manual plow lifter, or an inexpensive off brand electric winch (as on ebay).

Is it still a good product to have out on the trails If you dont want a big winch all the time?

The pull rating is only 900 lbs--not very much. You would also only be able to pull in a straight line--not always possible.
For an older atv, I bought a winch from Harbour Freight for around $70, and mounted it on the front bars of a Honda Foreman (no mount kit needed).
You might be better off getting a come-a-long that you could hook it up most anywhere.

Not what you want for a plow.

If you live near a Costco, they have 2000 lbs winchs for $69.
