What is the fastest 300-450 Utility atv.

Thanks for the replies. I am Thinking of going with the Eiger. I have done some searches and the Eiger may be the 2nd fastest 400 to the BRP 400 and is cheaper. I am gonna get the manual Eiger hopefully. I read that the Eiger and the Wolverine are very close in top speed.

Actually the eiger is one of the slowest 400cc quads, along with honda. Has great lowend pulling power though and the manual tranny. Note it doesn't have IRS of a diff lock, if that is something you may want. For a good price and all the bells and whistles, I would look at the kodiak 450. It's no slouch!

You said you did not want automatic? My Rancher has full auto or ESP, push button 2wd or 4wd. On flat ground in 2 wheel drive i max out at 58MPH Why are you so concerned with speed? Once you get on the trails your not going to go that fast anyway. And if your wanting to ride dunnes or something get a sport bike.

A rancher that will do 58mph! Yeah, in the back of a truck or trailer. Maybe you got this speed on the speedo, but check it with a GPS, and you'll find it's probably more like 48mph. I'm really not knocking you, but it's really not going to happen. I promise :-)

I agree with ppope I can't see a rancher doing 58mph I have had my Vinson at 96.6KPH which converts to 60.03 MPH on the speedo on a frozen pond once just to see how fast I could go with all my bolt ons as listed in my sig and only 3.5psi in the tires. Since then I don't think I have gone over 75KPH (46MPH) because trail conditions don't permit higher speeds. I noticed my odometer and hour meter the other day and I have 3990km and 320 Hours so according to that my avg speed would be 12.5kph of course this doesn't take into account idling time so the avg would be higher than 12.5 kph but you get my point fast speeds are all right but really how often are you going 60MPH.
I have to admit I like speed when people pull alongside and want to go, they soon find out the Vinson is quick.... lol
As for the eiger it would show up a honda 400 any day in speed and low end power IMO unless the 400 have substantial more power than the 350 hondas.
My Vinson Pic's

Yes, an eiger will outrun a honda 400. Honda's produce the least amount of hp of any quad made. HP=speed! Now, what honda does offer is lowend torque and gearing. They are pulling beast, but slow pulling beast :-)
