All I got to say is be proud of that thing, cause it's an exception. Even if you hit 55mph on it, that's a record for a rancher. A good buddy of mine is looking for a quad and is obcessed with the rancher. I'll have to tell him someone reported getting over 55mph.

According to the speedometer on my machine, my 2000 Rancher 4x4 ES goes 51 mph.

This is on level pavement. When I tried it downhill on the road, it still maxed out at 51mph. Almost like it had a govenor of some kind.

2005 Eiger stock GPS verified 59mph with 26 inch mudlites and my 240lb frame and about 10-15 pounds of gear in rear box. Remember an eiger is 376cc's. I would imagine with stock tires and a 170 pounder riding the bike could do 62-63mph no problem.

Have you driven one? it takes a stretch of road to get up to it but it still will go. Stock the bike could bury the speedo at 100km/hr.
