In last 15 years I have had 10 atvs 4polaris 3boms 1 honda 1 Yamaha and a 700 kfx. An have been in several pulling contests and last year I was very surpised wen my 400 outty beat the nearst 500 buy 50 feet.Is this unusual or are bombs that much better than polaris. I will have to try my 800brp outty and see if 800sp are up to it Iwould say not.

I am using someone elses Quote on this one : God must love stupid people, thats why he made so many. To answer your question, YES BPR is that much better than Polaris. So go back out and check for frame cracks.

At the ATV National Jamboree in Fillmore, Utah last month they had a sled pull contest. The winner in open stock catagory was an 800 Polaris Sportsman beating a Bomb 800 Max (long wheel base model for passenger) by about 8 inches. So sled pulling is not all about power. Other factors are weight of the quad, heavier could be better; and front diff performance, on this day and on this track the Polaris all wheel drive system was better; and tire selection is probably a big factor. And then there is always rider skill that can make a difference.

When I posted this message I did not want rile anyone. I just was looking for information. So far I have learned that getting the power to the ground is very inportant. I would also like to know best tires, where to add weigh and anything that will help.
