Polaris 6X6 front chain adjustment help

Any have any idea what I'm doing wrong here. I took the bold out of the front like the book sais, stuck a medal pin through the sproket and when I moved the ATV backwords to tighten it the PIn just bent in half. help

i know they are a pain in the butt. i would suggest going to the polaris forum and asking this question i am sure you will get more traffic in there of other people who have done this.

You don't have to take the ecentric bolts all the way out just loosen. Then spray the ecentric with a lube (wd-40, chain lube etc..) Insert the pin or screwdriver etc.. and push the bike fowrard first, spay again then push back until you have about a .5 -1in deflection in the chain. then tighten bolts.
