New in atv and oil

Default New in atv and oil

I go a 2000 sportsman 500. I am not sure what oil to run in it. I heard all different kind from 0w/40 to 10w/40 so please help.

Default New in atv and oil

Amsoil synthetic oil is very popular, and trusted. I use 0-40 fourstroke amsoil. I know more members on here that use it also. But all in all, about any brand will work, some just offer more quality, and longer drain intervals.

0w40 synthetic is what you want to use, I use Amsoil also but others such as Mobil 1 will work too.....

stay w. the stock oil 0-40 and make sure its full synthic. personally for the price its just as cheap to buy the polaris oil for me.

I agree with v2rider on the oil, the Amsoil is rated better than all others. I was a confirmed
believer in Mobil 1 for over 30 years but have changed my position on that. I live in Maine and'
have trouble finding the oil, thats my biggest problem.
