i was just wondering what you guys thought of the 84 trx200's, i was wanting to know what there strenghts and weakness's were, or if there is any thing you can do for them to improve them, i know there not much but ive owned mine for awhile and its kinda a project bike for me now, thanks

also if you would know how much how much i could sell it for, i kinda have a idea but its in great condition and runs perfect, so i wana sell it for what its worth and not get jiped.

hey i have a 1985 trx250 its sweet for something that old. The main weakness is all the weight is put to far forward after all the deaths and injuries with the three wheelers, its to prevent wheelies but make it alot harder to mudbog. the front shocks suck. besides that there amazing atvs, it was my first quad and it never had any major problems until the electrical finally crapped out on me. it was faster than my friends 1986 200sx but just a hair. they are great work bikes i remember pulling out this huge tree lol, the front wheeles weren't on the groung though. improvements would be better tires, mine came with "Turf Busters" on the back which sucked a$$ on everything but grass. I later got some mudlites for it and wow they do better, for how much its worth up in canada if it runs amazing and is in great shape my mechainc said from $1800-$2500 isn't out of the question

They are bullit proof, but have no suspension and takes 200 acres to turn one around in. Seen them go for up to $1000 for a descent one.

i had a 86 fourtrax200sx , it was wore out when i got it . brake cables disconnected , ruff n cracked plastic , oil leak , welded up back hubs . havingsaid all that the motor would crank n run slick as a button and she would wheel stand from a dead start . the reason i got rid of it was the availability of parts , i would have restored it if i could ve found new parts .........

I had a similar experience as hikuntryslim with my 1987 honda 200sx. My daughter loved the quad, but it was very difficult to find parts for it. Also, the suspension was so bad compared to my newer quads, it was wise to sell it for $1,000 and apply the money to another modern atv.
