Those prices do not jive with the quotes I received. Here's what I got:

Both 100% new:

Prowler 2007 650 Base (with front bumber added ~ $200): $8,900
Prowler 2008 650 XT (no addons): $9,700

So are you rprices discounted? I was given a "discount" on mine but I did not knwo the MSRP. Not that MSRP matters but I do like to know where the dealer is starting from.

For the record the 2007 Rhino Price i was quoted was 9000 and I know the MNSRP is $9,800 (seems close to fair as I figure I can get 10% off the Rhino from what I have researched).

those prices are from my local dealer without any discounts or rebates. going in and out of 4x4 you dont have to stop for. the 2-4wd is on the fly and doesnt require stopping. the diff lock you have to stop to put on, but you will rarely need it. the only one with the turf saver is the XTX and i believe you set it to turf saver its not an all the time thing. that tranny is perfectly fine, mine did that at 1st too. didnt take long to wear out of it.

as far as GE4x4s question dimensions are of the XTX
length 115
width 61.3
height 77.5
weight 1165

I can't resist the urge to compare the specs of my altered Rhino to the Prowler that were just posted.

Length 123"
Width 74"
Height 74"
Weight 1300 #

i did you the favor of uploading the magazine article to my website and the link is below. note that all UTVs have pros and cons, but after all is said and done and the dust has settled, the Arctic Cat Prowler is the clear winner.

UTV Shootout Article

note also that in the 08 model lineup most of the things mentioned here were fixed and that the Prowler XTX 700 H1 EFI wasnt in the running either.

great - thank you so much for the article. to me the prowler and rhino are close - even after reading the article. rhino seems quicker but prowler has traveling pro's - the steering kickback of the rhino is a con and i have experienced it...... i have never taked a prowler on a trail - just a field. i'll will drive the prowler again later this week and i'll try to report back.

The prowler is faster than the rhino. The prowler is wider than the rhino making it less tippy, but on the downside it wont fit down "tight" trails as well as the rhino. In my opinion the prowler looks better and is a far more capable machine (stock) than the rhino.
