How doest htat Machine do with the 27" Mudlites??? Hi-Lifter does make a 1-2" Lift kit for the Kodiaks/Grizzly 450's. Personally I couldn't handle the stiffness of the stock machine with is set on those 2 notches! I have heard the stock axles will take the extra height without much of a problem.. but you are also turning 27" Tires.... I am considering getting the lift and keeping 25" XTRs' tires.. or no lift and 26" XTR's

I've got a 2007 Kodiak 450, I put the 2" highlifter kit on. It rocks!!! I also have 26" XTR's on SS112 ITP's and my bike has no problem turning them. I wouldn't even expect that the shock adjuster cranked to the stiffest setting would even lift up the bike more than an inch or so, but even if it did, I too would not enjoy the ride. I had the 26" Radials on before the lift kit and the only thing I noticed was a small amount of rubbing over rolling hills at higher speeds. After the lift kit... my Kodiak is a monster Eh?! Just as tall as my Brother-in-laws 700 Grizzly at a fraction of the price. ROCK AND ROLL!!!

Going to a tire 2 inches taller than stock will only add 1 inch more ground clearance, not 2.
