Default Good deal?

I recently bought this 2000 Honda Recon for $880. It runs pretty well once it gets warmed up. Shifts through all the gears fine and has plenty of power. It's cold starting but I think I just need to adjust the idle a little. Also, the reverse isn't working right now but I spoke with a Honda technician and he said that I can probably just adjust the tension on the cable and it should fix the problem. So what do y'all think, is it a good deal?

I would say any quad these days that starts and runs is worth at least $800! you have found something that can do that and get you on the trails with out a lot of work or money, and that is priceless! Good find!

Yea, I feel pretty good about it. I fixed the reverse (no cost) and adjusted the idle so it would start and stay running a little easier. I'm working on getting the front brakes working (didn't have any fluid in the box) so we'll see how that goes but the rear brakes work. It starts up with the electric start and shifts through all the gears just fine. The headlights work (high and low) and I spray painted the racks to look a little nicer and am planning on painting the plastic as well. The rear brake light doesn't work but that is just a minor thing. All in all I feel like I did a good job.

I would not paint the plastics. If you have done it and have liked the results over time, fine, but I purchased an ATV that had painted plastics and I would rather have the older scratched plastics than the old scratched plastics with scratched flaked paint over them. Just my opinion, hope it works well if you decide to do it.

So I fixed it up a little bit just so it's a more pleasing to the eye (pulled plastic so sit fits flush, sanded and painted all plastic). What do y'all think? 1st pic is the way I bought it, 2nd pic is after changes (the red on the tires and black plastic is just dust from the sanding, not overspray...

Very nice! Definite improvment. It is amazing that people that sell there stuff don't take the time to do a little detail work like that, but then it would be harder for us to find good deals! Enjoy and ride safe.

I could probably get close to 2 grand out of that ATV here. Used machines are really pricey around here.
